Affirmation of Baptism

Affirmation of Baptism (AOB), also referred to as confirmation, is a culmination of a student's Living Water journey at SOLLC. In Affirmation of Baptism (AOB), 8th grade students meet separately from Living Water students for a more intentional learning experience. During the year, AOB students will take the faith basics they've been taught in Living Water and apply them to their lives, begin to figure out what they believe, and look at how they fit into the wider church at they journey towards the Affirmation of Baptism service in May.

Further details on each part of the process are below. Should you have additional questions, please reach out to Eric Forester at ericfoerster@sollc.org.

AFFIRMATION OF BAPTISM EXPERIENCES

Small Group Adventure Day

Small Group Adventure Day consists of a day out at Sand Creek Adventures in Jordan! Small Groups will experience zip-lining, high ropes, and low ropes as they have a final day of group bonding before Rite of Passage and Affirmation of Baptism.

Rite of Passage Experience

Rite of Passage is an experiential worship service for AOB students and their families. During this candlelit service, students will retrace their faith milestones as a remembrance of where they have come from on their faith journey.

Affirmation of Baptism Service

Affirmation of Baptism is our version of a confirmation service. Family and friends are invited to join in celebrating their Affirmation of Baptism student as they affirm their faith.
